NearpodI often use the Nearpod App to introduce or create lessons on a variety of topics. I design virtual field trips, embed video, connect to text, embed Google Maps, have students collaborate, and interact using technology. It is an excellent way to bring the world into your classroom and develop the global competencies.

Connect the classroom with parents and beyondI have students upload their class projects using photos and video creating an online student portfolio and it offers a great way to collaborate with parents and share information with them.

A digital filing cabinet that you can easily share.I design Padlets to go along with different units I teach. When I travelled to Morocco with TGC, I shared a Padlet with my school by posting a QR code and sharing it through my blog. I gather resources on a topic and then students can comment or add more resources to share. It is a great collaboration tool that can develop the global competencies.

Global Oneness Project: Using digital storytelling to share personal stories and build personal narratives encourages my students to share their experiences and also learn more about other perspectives. Global Oneness Project has excellent resources for digital storytelling and lessons.

Global Read Aloud is a great way to bridge connections with other schools around the world. Each year, different books are chosen and are read aloud by different classrooms around the world.

Twitter is an excellent tool for connecting and learning more about global education. It is also great for building connections with other educators around the world. I have learned a great deal from joining Twitter.

Empatico: A free tool to connect classrooms around the world and build empathy, curiosity and kindness. It is designed to for students 7-11 years old. Next year, I will connect my Global Eagle's kids club with other students around the globe.

Belouga an online program that connects classrooms around the world, encourages sharing of ideas and collaboration among different cultures around the globe using video and other communication methods. It has been a great tool to bring my classroom to the world and the world to my classroom. It is a great way to build connections.

Google: Earth, Documents, Slides, Tour Creator is an amazing app for making virtual tours of anywhere on Earth, Maps, Google + and so much more. Google is an amazing tool for integrating technology into my class. I use it daily with our Chromebooks and I-Pad's. Google + is great professional development resources.
